Alright everyone…the Cover Model Search for Brooke Jantz Photography is ON! I think any one of these entries would make awesome cover models for my new website! But your vote will decide on the ONE. Pick your favorite picture (not the quality of the picture but the subject(s)) and vote in the poll on the right side of the page. (Give me a few minutes to get it up…)

Wow! What a busy week it’s been. I wish I could say we are more settled in the house but we aren’t. Maybe by Christmas!

Despite the rain last week, we ended up having a great shoot! I’ll share these for today and some more later in the week! I’ve got way too much work to do. Moving really got me out of my groove!

This was my session Saturday morning…as we were trying to move! I may have been slightly distracted! But the boys kept me on my toes. We took these at the boy scout cabin in Monte…I think it’s a great location. The first one is my favorite from the session…just love that interaction. The last one is more indicative of how the session went…haha! I told Mom I think that’s the one she should get.

A new week!

We finally moved over the weekend and are trying to get settled in to the new digs. We decided last night we definitely need to get some things on the walls. Feels to bare here right now. Thankfully, just last week, I ordered myself a canvas print of our family picture. I can’t wait to hang it!

I had several sessions last week and need to get those ready for previews in the next couple of days. This week I have 2 sessions and 2 team pictures to take. It’s going to be busy!

I’ll share a preview tomorrow but for today…I wanted to share this one. The kids got these at Target yesterday and wanted to fly them as soon as we got home. Wouldn’t you know it…it was the calmest day of the summer! But Daddy must have some magic b/c he got them way up there!

I know it’s not as glamorous as being Heidi Klum or anything but I still need a cover model! My new website will have a splash page featuring one photo. If you would like a FREE session, a FREE 11×14 print, and will agree to allowing me to use any of the images from our session for my portfolio as well as the cover image for my website, you need to enter this contest!

How to enter: Send me your favorite snapshot of yourself, your baby, your family or whoever you want to feature in this contest. You can email me the picture or snail mail it. theysay@ucom.net (Email me for my mailing address!) Make sure it’s a recent picture. Then, I’ll post them all here on the blog and we’ll put it to a vote! You can tell all your family and friends to come and vote too! Bonus: You will also receive a second FREE MINI SESSION for a friend. Their session will be 30 minutes long and they will receive 10-15 proofs from which to choose and a free 5×7 print.

Deadline for sending pictures: Friday June 27.

Oh, and you must be willing to travel to Copeland for your session. So, say you live in San Diego…you can enter…but if you win, you must come here for the session! LOL! Or, you know, buy me a plane ticket. And let me crash at your place.

Looks like we probably won’t be moving this weekend after all. Imagine that! Well, to take my mind off of that…I am going to have a blog contest! I’m in the process of building my brand-spankin’ new website and need lots of help! I don’t know if I’m just too frustrated or distracted or what…but I am having some creative blocks. SO, that’s where you come in!

What I’m looking for are some creative names for the galleries on my new site. I will have a gallery for each of the following: maternity (though I do need some fresh bellies to fill it!), newborns, babies, children (might combine those two), families and seniors. Now, help me get those juices flowing! In the comments section, leave your ideas for gallery names. Keep my logo in mind as you do…it’s a butterfly and I’m thinking we could work with it!

You *could* submit your suggestions anonymously…but if you leave your name, I will draw one name from all the submissions and the winner will receive a $15 iTunes gift card! Now who couldn’t use 15 new songs on their iPod? For FREE! Help me out and you could be the winner!!!

Well, things are a bit hectic around here again this week. For those of you wondering, no, we still haven’t moved! But…we are getting closer. Meanwhile, the farm is falling apart. Ah, well…a few more days and hopefully we’ll be able to move!

After we get settled, I plan to celebrate with a few contests and prizes on the ol’ blog! Stay tuned!
