"L" Family Sneak Peek {Kansas Family Photographer}
Posted on July 31, 2009
How cute are they??? We have been good friends with these guys since our first-borns were very young. In fact, I think I was still pregnant with Emma when we met. Laura and I used to spend hours scrapbooking together and Corny has done all of the work on this house. I think we’ll be keeping him busy for years to come with all the projects that need to be done around here! Anyway, we had fun last night getting some fun shots of the family.
Remember a few weeks ago when I said I was going to start a Fashion Friday every week and give you good ideas of how to dress your family? Pretend this is a Fashion Friday post and follow all of Laura’s tips in these images: Mom’s should wear jewelry, coordinate the clothes but don’t match, use fun colors, don’t be afraid to accessorize…the purple scarf brought it all together!

"B" Grandkids Sneak Peek {Kansas Family Photographer}
Posted on July 29, 2009
Saturday morning I met up with the cutest bunch of kiddos ever! They wanted a few shots of all the cousins together with grandma and grandpa before 4 of them move out East. I could tell they had all spent lots of time together and get along very well…I’m sure the move will be hard on them but hopefully these images will give them warm fuzzy memories they all can take with them wherever they go! Enjoy your sneak peek!!!

I had fun last night trying to keep these boys in line so their mom could get a nice family portrait…but they were all good sports and knew how to make their mom happy! The storms held off but the wind had picked up by the time we started shooting. And the sun disappeared all too soon…but hopefully we still captured some fun memories for all of you! Thanks for coming down and braving the wind and possible snakes!

James thought we’d take a few pictures and be done with it. HA! We spent nearly two hours between the studio and some locations around town and the farm to get some GREAT senior photos for him. I had a great time and hope you enjoy your sneak peek! Thanks!!!

Senior 2010 {Kansas Senior Photographer}
Posted on July 23, 2009
Miss Shaelyn is my 2010 rep for South Gray High School…she’s also my babysitter, assistant, flash holder, etc. when she’s not in front of my camera. It’s been a blast working with her…and yesterday was a marathon session trying to get everything finished. But…well, I think we will have another session to go. I don’t mind at all though because she’s been an awesome rep and so good with my kids. Here are just a few from yesterday’s session!
Enjoy!!

Stormy Nights in Kansas
Posted on July 21, 2009
We had a storm all around us last night, and we did end up getting some rain out of it (really just a sprinkle!). However, there was a TON of lightning with this storm. I’ve only tried one other time to get lightning shots. Last night, though, was perfect…just the right amount of lightning and just far enough away. Plus, with our location now, I have several vantage points to watch the storms come rolling in. These shots are taken to the north of our farm with me standing out in the middle of the road. When I saw more than two big strikes within a minute of each other I packed it up and headed inside! I’m a little too much of a wimp to stay out there for long!
Enjoy!!

Beautiful Backyard Wedding {Kansas Wedding Photographer}

What a treat it was to be part of this amazing wedding ceremony. The weather was perfect, the details were straight out of a magazine, everyone was so happy for the bride and groom…and I couldn’t have asked for a better location to capture the moments! Here are a few sneak peeks…more of the details to come later this week.

This was the sweetest moment of the ceremony…just after the groom came down the aisle, he got on one knee and gave his new step-daughter a ring and said a vow to her. There was a not a dry eye in the yard!

Sneak Peek "E" family {Kansas Family Photographer}
Posted on July 20, 2009
Saturday morning I woke up to rain and clouds…not a good thing when I’m supposed to be doing family photos in an hour. But…thankfully, everyone was really flexible and we changed locations. The family was awesome and waited on me to get to them…by that time, the sun was starting to poke out but we still had some nice cloud cover for that gorgeous diffused light photographers love! Plus, the 100+ temps we had seen earlier in the week were washed away with the rain so we ended up with a perfect morning for pictures. The “E” family was celebrating Grandma and Grandpa’s 40th wedding anniversary with everyone home. I am honored to have captured this moment for them…here’s just a quick peek of what is to come!
enjoy!

Sneak Peek Baby "E" {Kansas Newborn Photographer}
Posted on July 18, 2009
When Miss E decided to go to sleep this morning (thanks in part to a few tricks we had!), she let me do about anything I wanted! She was T-I-R-E-D!! At three weeks and over 9 lbs, we still managed to get some newborn shots her mom and dad are sure to treasure. Who can resist such a sweet baby!
Enjoy!
