This little princess came to visit this morning since she missed her mini session appointment on Saturday.  She woke up sick that day so we rescheduled for today.  It turned out great, though!  We got to do a few more outfits and smash a cake!  Her mom had the best clothes for her and matching bows so it was a girly session for sure.  We all had fun and here’s hoping you enoy your sneak peek!

I love it when I get clients like Aubrey! She was excited for her session and planned all of her outfits knowing what she wanted from her session.  She and her mom was fun and easy to work with and let me do about anything!  We fought off some giant mosquitos last night, but it was worth it!  We had some magical lighting resulting in some of my favorite senior images yet!!!  What I truly love about this business is how many new friends I’ve gained…love when a session ends with a hug.  Enjoy your sneak peek!!

We had our first day of mini sessions at Rattle & Roll in Dodge City on Saturday.  Rattle & Roll is a brand new children’s boutique located on Central Avenue across from the mall in Dodge.  Tara, the store owner, has amazing merchandise filling the store…perfect outfits for your kids’ pictures!  We have teamed up to do mini sessions in the back of the store once a month.  This first session featured her fabulous selection of pettiskirts and cowboy apparel.  We had a blast and met some really fun families.  Enjoy this sneak peek and go to my Facebook fan page to learn more details about our next mini session event!  October 24th will be all about this year’s Halloween costumes!!!

Miss Amber told me when she got here she doesn’t smile and doesn’t like to get her picture taken.  Whatever!  I didn’t let her off so easy…and she proved herself wrong.  She was beautiful and fun to work with!  We braved the cold wind (I bet it was at most 60 degrees…too chilly for me!) to get some fun on-location images right here in Copeland.  Hope you enjoy this sneak peek!

Issa is a senior at Cimarron High…she is a senior rep for me this year and we did her second session in the studio last night.  She’s a beautiful person…inside and out so it was fun and easy to work with her.  Hope you enjoy this sneak peek!!!

It is the beautiful time of year…for me anyway.  I just adore the evening light in the fall.  Just driving down the road, it “feels” like fall.  And the gorgeous light makes for gorgeous portraits.  My favorite field of CRP didn’t let me down on Saturday night when the K family came to visit.  I love they way the red and brown pop in the grass.  We lost a couple of items out in the field but I assured the girls it was worth it.  I hope they think so when they see these!  Enjoy!

Some alliteration to start your week!  :)

Who doesn’t love the gentle flutter of a butterfly?  Most years, the monarch mass has a layover in Copeland on their way south for winter.  Some years, they seem to stay a couple of weeks.  Others, we don’t even know they’ve been through.  This past week we’ve noticed a few fluttering in, but this weekend, they arrived by the hundreds!  My mother-in-law has the perfect yard for hosting these beautiful winged creatures.  I went down tonight to get a few images of my favorite insect (I have one permanently inked on my ankle and, of course, my logo!).  I found a few other subjects as well…enjoy!

Cuteness alert!!  Cuteness alert!!  The following sneak peek contains a very sweet, totally cute, and completely precious one-year-old miracle kiddo!  His momma shared with me the story of how Mr. P was born with 1/2 a heart and some of the struggles AND miracles they’ve experienced over the last year and a half.  What a blessing he is!  He was a ham in front of the camera…at least when we could get him to sit still just long enough.  He brought along his favorite chair…and since his mom sells these, you may end up seeing a few more of them in future sessions!  I *need* one now!!!  Enjoy this sneak peek…

We had lots of fun jumping, playing Simon Says and just being silly with E and A yesterday.  Mr. E is a great big brother and so fun to photograph.  I’ve had Miss A in the studio once before so it was fun to see how much she has grown and changed.  Hope you guys enjoy your sneak peek!!!

And for a little something different….

I had a great time this weekend…we left the farm for probably the last time until November! Harvest is just around the corner, and it could be a long one. But we went up to my sister’s house this weekend to help celebrate my nephew’s 5th birthday and attend a baby shower for their new little girl expected in October. Both parties were perfect and we got to spend time with my whole side of the family. We squeezed in some time to get Jack’s birthday pictures done…he was a trooper! Then Sunday morning we spent getting some images for Megan of her beautiful bellly. Can’t wait for the baby to get here so we can get some newborn images. What a fun…and tiring…weekend!
