{Engaged} {Kansas Wedding Photographer}

David and Navid came this morning for engagement pictures…we were hoping for some great outdoor shots in the beautiful spring air. But Mother Nature had other plans…blowing snow and frigid wind did not make for fun, beautiful images! So, although we did venture outdoors at the end, we spent most of our time with the studio lights. I love to do engagement sessions because it helps me get to know my bride and groom before all the nerves and jitters of the big day. I learn how they react to my sometimes always corny jokes, what cues I can give to help them relax, and get a good idea of how I’ll need to work the day of the wedding to capture those once-in-a-lifetime moments. This is the prequel to the big day…and our formal introduction to each other. And it’s always nice when the couple is as lovely as this one…willing to try whatever crazy ideas i have, trusting me with their memories, and happy and in love in spite of the winter storm blowing all around them!
Enjoy this sneak peek…looking forward to the beautiful wedding this summer! Won’t she make a stunning bride?

Can you believe we are already starting in on the graduating class of 2011? Actually, I have 5 kids from area schools who are going to be representing Brooke Jantz Photography this next year. They are great students, and I am excited to work with each of them. You’ll see the rest of these reps show up on the blog over the next few weeks! First up is Jordan from SWH…my alma mater! I have known Jordan since she was three years old…it’s so hard for me to accept that she is going to be a senior! I taught her swimming lessons, babysat her on Saturday nights, and she was the flower girl in my wedding. She was as cute back then as she is today! We had a beautiful day yesterday to get her first session in. I am so excited to share these and get the opportunity to work with Jordan and her family. Enjoy!!

I had so much fun photographing Miss O yesterday…she’s so full of personality and spunk! Loved her purple guitar so we incorporated it into a large portion of the session. Isn’t it fun?? Enjoy this fun sneak peek!! More sessions coming through the week!

We had a ball on Saturday snapping cute images of some amazingly beautiful kiddos in their Easter best. The warm weather had everyone smiling and excited for spring. We even had a couple of tiny babies join in the fun…a six week old and a 5 week old. They were sweet surprises for me at the end of a busy day. Enjoy this sneak peek…and know that it means spring is on the way!!

Kashae|HHS '10

Posted on March 6, 2010

Kashae is one of my last 2010 seniors…and she was a fun one to help wrap up the year! We started out here in the studio, giving the sun time to warm up. By the time we were ready to go outside, it was *almost* comfortable to be out without a jacket. The really big wind held off just long enough that we were able to get some beautiful outdoor images to go along with her studio. Her boyfriend joined in at the end for a few together. What a great day!
