Wow wow wow! I absolutely love these images we got the other night with the start of the “Bed in the Field” mini sessions! I knew the setting would be amazing, but when you throw beautiful children in there too, it is absolutely stunning. I have a huge 30×40 canvas hanging in my living room of my own kids laying on this bed out in the field. It is one of my favorite images of all time. I hope these parents will feel the same way…don’t they look like angels? blog1

Miss C first came to see me last year when she was just a few weeks old…she’s just as much a doll now as she was then! She even got momma and daddy in a few pictures!

3 Months Old! {Kansas Baby Photographer}

Posted on September 28, 2010

It is always amazing to me how much a baby can grow and change in just three months. It wasn’t that long ago I was at baby “E’s” house, just after her arrival into the world! And I know when she comes back at 6 months, she will have changed even more. I love seeing them grow up over that first year, though, and count it a blessing to be able to photograph these moments for my clients. Enjoy!!blog1

Had a second completely amazing engagement session on Saturday morning…complete with a foggy beginning. Kelli and Landon will be tying the knot in January…imagine the contrast between their engagement pictures and wedding pictures! I’m really looking forward to their wedding after our shoot this weekend…love it when I get such gorgeous couples!! Enjoy!!

This was part 1 of 2 sessions we are planning with Holly and Ryan…and you know Ryan is THRILLED about that! :) They will be getting married out here next summer so we did part of their engagement shoot here, but we will finish up with some cool locations in Kansas City next weekend. I’m beyond excited about that! I have so many I could have shown on the blog {these two don’t take a bad picture!} but narrowed it down to a manageable few. Hope you enjoy this sneak peek!

Had a blast doing Krista’s senior pictures last week…it’s fun getting to know people in the studio! I really try to engage my subjects in a conversation while we are clicking away, partly to put them at ease and partly because I’m just really nosey. :) I love to get those natural expressions, though, and the easiest way to do that is to interact with the person on the other side of the camera. I know how intimidating it can be to have this big ol’ lens staring you in the face, but, really, I try to take out the awkward factor as much as possible. Krista probably thought I was REALLY nosey but, honestly, I really was just trying to get some good expressions. Honest! :) Enjoy the sneak peek!

Had an awesome session with Genni and her mom yesterday in Dodge. I loved the ideas they had to make these images unique to Genni…she even climbed a tree to get one shot! We’ll finish up with some studio tomorrow afternoon…but for now, enjoy this sneak peek!

Riley was not all that excited about having his senior pictures done…in fact, I’d say he was fairly reluctant to take any at all! So…we did his session on his grandparents ranch where he feels right at home. He brought out his horse at the end…I have a feeling those will be favorites! And while Riley *thought* he didn’t want a bunch of pictures, I think he ended up enjoying it! :) We did his entire session in under an hour…we worked fast and got some of my favorite images of the year!!!

Enjoy!
