I know I have neglected this poor little blog…all the fun is on facebook right now!  But…I did want to wish all of my readers a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  I hope to see all of you in 2012.  Here is a little video of all of you from this past year…I am the most blessed photographer to get so many amazing clients!

This session with Lisa and her beautiful little family was scheduled and rescheduled over the last few weeks, for various reasons.  We were both beginning to think we were cursed and the session would never happen.  As it turns out, I think the session just needed to happen on this magical evening…we could not have picked a better night to take these images!  From the beginning, Lisa told me she wanted some really natural images out on a quilt in the grass, reading to her kiddos.  I was in love with the idea!  Add in the perfect fall evening, a patient dad, and seriously adorable kiddos and we had a recipe for magic!  I love when I am looking through the view finder and just *know* the image is special.  Love these two just quickly peeking at the gallery!  Enjoy the sneak peek!

Had a great session with Kassandra today…she is just gorgeous!  

Keaton is 9 months and motoring around everywhere! I could not believe how much he had changed in 3 months…and know I’m going to be in for another surprise in just 3 more.  He is so cute…just loved his expressions!

When your middle name is Pearl, you  have to take some cutie-pie pictures with grandma’s pearls!  How cute is this?!!?  Her momma brought in her own strands of pearls…and I love the denim overalls with them.  Is she a cutie or what?

Such a sweet baby today!  He came in to the studio for these and was a dream baby.  His mom said he was pretty laid back but I had to see it to believe it. He was sleeping so good at the end we even got the chin-prop shot.  yay!

Isn’t she precious?  She is the youngest of three sisters…her life is going to be so much fun!  I just loved working with her and snuggling her yesterday morning. She was so good!  

I can’t believe Kace is 6 months already!  This summer just went too fast!!  Here he is all sitting up and smiling and so darn cute…even with that yucky longhorn on his shirt.   (mom and dad promised he’ll come in his JAYHAWK gear for his next one!).

Yesterday I got to be part of something special.  There is a very sweet and generous person in our area who wanted to give Sara something special to remember her senior year.  This person bought Sara a gift certificate to spend with me on a session and some prints…but the catch is this person wishes to remain anonymous.  So I got to call Sara and her mom and tell them they had a session waiting, all they had to do was get here.  Sara has been so excited and brought tons of ideas and energy to her session yesterday.  And at the end, we tried to come up with a creative way to tell this anonymous gift-giver thank you.  The last image is what we came up with!

I have a facebook friend who posts several times a week inspiration to “scatter kindness”…each time I read her post I try to find a way to scatter some kindness in the day.  This person who gifted the session to Sara scattered lots of kindness this week, in ways s/he doesn’t even know.  And s/he has inpired me to do the same…I’m going to match the gift to another senior who would benefit from having a session like Sara’s.  But I want all of you to send me nominations!!!  I will choose one person on Friday, September 23rd to receive $150 to spend at BJP on a session/prints.  So start emailing/facebooking/calling me with your nominations!  If you know a 2012 senior who deserves a fun session and amazing prints, give me their name!   You’ve got 9 days to take your opportunity to scatter some kindness!  PAY IT FORWARD!
